  • Financial Close reached on phase one of the transformation of Canning Town

    After three and a half years of extensive planning for the regeneration of Canning Town, Bouygues Development reached financial close on phase one of the project last week. Recently named Hallsville Quarter*, construction work has now begun to create a new town centre in the heart of Canning Town. This major milestone was marked with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by representatives from the three key parties responsible for the development: Sir Robin Wales Mayor of Newham; Madani Sow, Chairman of Bouygues UK and Bouygues Development and One Housing Group Chief Executive, Mick Sweeney. The design and build contract is being carried out by Bouygues UK and construction on this £70 million (gross development value) phase one of the scheme will complete in early 2015.
